The rose is always a fun wine to make. The fruit is picked primarily out of Block 17, our largest on the property, which is situated on a somewhat steep northwest facing slope. We pick the block over the course of a few days depending on chemistry, and the fruit all goes directly into the press. This leaves the wine very light in color, borderline white wine depending on the vintage. We aim to have the rose be light in color while still carrying enough body and acidity to be exciting on the palate.
